Issues after update
After the last iOS update, the app started crashing. One day it crashed and then later in the day the app was auto running again and said that i had been working out for about 13 hours straight. When I shut It down, the app stopped for a short while then looked down at my watch again and there it was running again, up to 15 hour long workout for that day. I uninstalled and reinstalled and that at least stopped the workout. Beyond that, after the update, the app no longer tracks my run accurately. I’ve been doing the same run for 5 year and It is a 6.3 mile long run. After the update, the app was tracking between 5.5 and 5.7 miles. I get it that sometimes it’ll be off by a tenth of a mile or so, but that is over half a mile of inaccuracy. I thought It could’ve been my watch but map my run, Nike Run and Apple activity tracker all measured at 6.3 miles. Need an update to fix the app then it’ll be back to 5 stars for me.
I had an issue with the app suddenly not connecting with my Polar H10, but turning off Bluetooth, closing all apps and restarting my phone got it to connect. I’ve never had to do that before. Hopefully I won’t need to do that every time now. Other than that issue, this app is a great way to track your workouts. I do wish that it had more workout choices to choose from though. The step tracking does take a few minutes to load correctly, but I don’t find it that big of a deal. It connects well with My Fitness Pal and health app too.
Too much set up required for logging and tracking workouts
I have the fit box, so overall I’m very pleased with the apps. I like the connectivity an automatic updates to my fitness pal. However I do not like the long set up time that is required to “presync” The devices to the app. Case in point the UA heartbeat monitor requires you to go into the app and set it up then back to the menu to begin logging your work out and tracking your heart rate. I would like for it to be seamless in that tracking your work out automatically starts the heart rate monitor if you have it.
