Love this app
Great app for learning scales. Mark is an amazing instructor. Having one handy app to be able to learn scales and alternative finger shapes has been invaluable as a relatively new bass player.
I used to think scales were BORING! But lack of facility with scales and arpeggios was holding me back in my bass playing. Mark’s website (Talking Bass) and the videos in this app are great for learning scales. The Practice Room section is great for practicing the scales. And the Encyclopedia section is great for reminding yourself what the different scales look like if you have forgotten. Hearing it and visualizing it at the same time on the fretboard is great. If you have decided it is worthwhile to learn scales, then this is a great app to do it with.
Great resource for a budding bassist
Mark's website, TalkingBass has been an invaluable part of my practice routine. This app is a great extension to the online content and a great standalone resource for mastering the bass and developing good practice routines. The videos, scale encyclopedia, scale generator and practice tracks will become practice staples for me. Well worth the price.
