Hoping for a fix before the holidays


I bought this frame for our family to trial before giving it to the grandparents. We thought our families would enjoy them, with the grandbaby so far away.

The app and frame worked fairly well, so I bought one for my husband’s parents in the UK. I guess since purchasing, the app was “updated” ... and a lot of the good functionality was lost.

Now - I cannot see what I have sent to them (even though I set up full playlists of our baby). I then had to scroll through our photos to find “good” shots of our family. After selecting 100 (the maximum), I sent to their frame and got an AWS error. 😠

Also - our frame was packaged with international plugs. When I bought the same one for his parents, they opened it to only find a US plug. So, we need to go to the store and buy another adapter. 😠

The frames are expensive and look nice. I hope they work out the bugs before the holidays. I would love to purchase a few for my family, but won’t until they work out the kinks.

Looking for alternatives, though what a pain when I’ve set up everything on theirs already 😕🙁☹️

App needs to be simplified


The concept is great but the app is hard to maneuver. I’ve only been at it two days and guess I’ll eventually get efficient at it but for now it’s very frustrating. The, “tour” is a joke it whizzes by in 12 seconds flat teaching me nothing. So I have to read instructions on one device while using the app on another. Very time consuming.

Day three: there is a red #3 (dot) on the Nixplay icon that WILL not go away. I have zero notifications and/or requests and rebooting several time didn’t work. Spent 30+ minutes on the phone with technical support and even he couldn’t help me. Said I’m the third person with the same complaint (“probably a bug”) and he’d call me in a few days when he has an answer. We shall see.

Also, the timer does not work even though I know how to use military time.

In the meantime, I love seeing my grandchildren’s photos next to my chair.

The red dot does appear to be an isolated instance that we'll fix; for now would you mind reinstalling the app? For the timer, do you mean the Sleep function? Great to Keep Family Close


LOVE the app and the frame! Keeps my parents/grandparents feeling close even though they are 1200 miles away. I control it from the app, so they have zero technology frustration. I gave them the frame over a year ago and they still tell me how much they enjoy it every time we talk. It has really kept them linked to our daily lives.
