Publisher Description

The instant New York Times bestseller that BookTok is calling “absolutely A-M-A-Z-I-N-G” (@hollylovesbooks1519) and “impossible to put down” (@kurryreads), from the author of Local Woman Missing and Just the Nicest Couple

Everyone has secrets, but not everyone has remorse…

A terrible accident.

Meghan Michaels is trying to find balance between being a single mom and working full time as an ICU nurse, when a patient named Caitlin arrives in her ward with a traumatic brain injury. They say she jumped from a bridge and plunged over twenty feet to the train tracks below.

A shocking revelation.

When a witness comes forward with new details about Caitlin’s fall, it calls everything they know into question. Was a crime committed? Did someone actually push Caitlin, and if so, who... and why?

No one is safe.

Meghan lets herself get close to Caitlin until she’s deeply entangled in the mystery surrounding her. Only when it’s too late, does she realize that she and her daughter could be the next victims...

“A tense, compelling thriller with completely gasp-worthy twists.” —Nita Prose, #1 bestselling author of The Maid

Bravo

Absolutely adore this author. I was on pins and needles waiting for this book to come out, so really happy that it did not disappoint. I actually did not see the second part coming; however, I did kind of figure out everything at the end, and wish there was just a little bit more concrete solidification, even if it was eerie and provocative as the author does.

First Now ,

Good story.

This was a good story it kept my interest all the way to the end. The person that read the book was perfect in speed and punctuation. her voice was very easy to listen to. Overall a great read

Could have been written by AI

This is, perhaps, the worst book I have ever read. I am thinking of demanding my money back. The "style" of "writing" is so infuriatingly labored and puerile I sometimes wanted to scream out loud. An example of what the writer will do;

My phone rang, I see it in as Sienna. I freeze. Why would she be calling me into the middle of the day? She is at school. They weren't allowed to use their phones at school. Sometimes, she will sneak in a message to me during the day like "can I sleep at Gina's house tonight"? But it wasn't like her to call me at work, my heart was beating fast, something was wrong etc,

Like... just pick up the goddamn phone.

The protagonist is so boring I do think it was spit out of an AI machine. No personality, nothing, just a droning robot.
Everything about this book is the worst.
