Really Good Album

I've seen this band at the Little Grill in Harrisonburg, VA. Chris Howdyshell, the lead singer/guitar player, has great energy and is good with the crowd. On this album he also demonstrates excellent song writing skills. All the songs written by him are very good. "Sing My Love" sounds like an authentic old folk song; "Tom Waits" is fun; "House of Card" tells a great story and has some nice lines. There are 3 songs on the album not by Howdyshell. The cover of Old Joe Clark and Easy Livin'" by band member David Abbott are also pretty good. The only truly awful song on the album is the 60s-Hippy-Meets-Woody Guthrie clunker, "War Machine". If you like OCMS ("Lotto Ticket") and Adrienne Young, you'd probably really like RRR. My only minor complaints with the album are the fiddling and banjo playing. Some of the fiddle solos are really nice, but the fiddling is constant, even when the song would sound better without it. The banjo player must be a guitar player. He plays a banjar and he sounds like he's playing a guitar, not a banjo. Neither complaint is major, just something for the band to work on. Give this album a try!

Awesome local band

I've seen them perform and I've seen Chris Howdeyshell play at the Little Grill in Harrisonburg, VA many times and they are a great band with great songs. I especially love Love is Contaious and Easy Livin and The Drunker I Get. They are well worth your time and money!
