Shame on you!!!

On "Ballad Medley," Roy is cut off as he starts playing: I Don't Know Why (I Just Do).
Dizzy's solo is cut on the bridge of: I Can't Get Started.

These two songs are worth the price of the whole CD . . . I guess you'll have to go to the vinyl to hear these classics completely!

Who vets these things???

2 and 1/2 stars until you release the complete versions of these songs, then it is a five star CD by all means!!!

Dizzy Gillespie's contributions to jazz were huge. One of the greatest jazz trumpeters of all time (some would say the best), Gillespie was such a complex player that his contemporaries ended up copying Miles Davis and Fats Navarro instead, and it was not until Jon Faddis' emergence in the 1970s that Dizzy's style was successfully recreated.
