Album Review

Although their debut, Costello Music, was already out in the U.K. by the time The Flathead EP was issued, American listeners were finally offered a taste of what the Fratellis were doing with the four songs found here. Costello Music would come out in the U.S. a few months later, but the EP contains two of the singles from the album, "Henrietta" and the iPod-friendly "Flathead," as well as two other songs, "Stacie Anne" and "Cigarello," both of which also do a good job at showing off the band's bright, dancey Scottish garage rock, and set the stage for the upcoming full-length.

Finally Fratellis

Its about time iTunes brought Fratellis to the States, I had to go to the UK/IRE iTunes store to purchase Fratellis. Wish they brought Chelsea Dagger, Baby Fratelli, and Whistle for the Choir.

Freshness

Wow! these guys are amazing. Something new, they don't sound like every other band out there. They have a unique sound. Just waiting for their full album to be released here in the sates....sigh. Overall, absolutly awsome!

Awesome!

Love it! Can't wait until their full album comes out. Their sound: controlled chaos. kudos.

Biography

Formed: 2005 in Glasgow, Scotland

Genre: Rock

Years Active: '00s, '10s

The witty trio played its first show in early 2005, maintaining that the band's moniker was merely an homage to Barry's original surname (however, other rumors suggest that the Fratellis borrowed it from the nemesis family featured in Steven Spielberg's film The Goonies). Such trivia only added to the Fratellis' growing appeal upon their performance...
