The movie made me both cry and laugh and the soundtrack accurately captures both of these emotions. Everytime I hear "Shine Your Light" I want to cry, yet "Fire" makes me laugh. Ladder 49 is one the best movies ever and the soundtrack represents this pretty well. The soundtrack falls a little short of expectations from the very moving movie, but it is still an excellent buy!
I simply love this album it's beautiful. I cry during most of them they make me think of what I have and what I take for granted everyday. I can't see anything else, but Jack Morrison (Joaquin) in his last hours and I just have a good cry. The producers of this album chose great artists when putting this together. 5 STARS!!!
Ladder 49 - Very good - tear jerker
With a fire fighter in my family this movie and all movies about firemen have a special place in my heart. This movie depicts the brotherhood between firemen and the courage they have to muster to do their job. Thankfully we have people that are willing to do this job and use all their courage to fight fires and save people's lives. A good movie, laughs and tears. Not a bad performance by John Travolta for a change.
