Patches is a solid record

I heard this song not so long ago and ran out to buy it. Then I ran back in forgetting it was over 40 years old and I had a better chance finding Jimmy Hoffa than "Patches" at any of the local record shops. I recommend the song and this album for those who like older, less produced sounding music. At the very least get "Patches." I don't think you will be sorry if you do. Kaizoku

I recently danced 6 feet away from Clarence Carter at a Mardi Gras party. At the age of 53, I felt (and danced!) like I was 16 again....all thanks to his unbelievable music. The quality of his voice and stage presence was indescribable. I wish SO bad that he could see the love on the faces of all of his admirers even though I can tell by his wonderful smile that he feels the love. Trust me, he's worth the trip to see him and the money to download him! FMR

He immediately gravitated to music, teaching himself guitar by listening to the blues classics of John Lee Hooker, Lightnin' Hopkins, and Jimmy Reed. He majored in music at Alabama State...
