Customer Reviews

This is a very special album. This is one of the best arranged albums that you can buy. The songs were treated with the same artistic finesse that N.U. composed them with. "Theme of Love" is probably the best song on this album...the main melody played by the oboe still makes my eyes go misty. "Vamo" is wonderfully rousing, and the guitarist really knows what he's doing. "Love Grows" is wonderful, too-but better on Fithos Lusec Wecos Vinosec. If you are looking for an arranged "One Winged Angel" then I would suggest going to FFVII Reunion Tracks-the choir's weak on this arrangement. Same can be said for "Liberi Fatali." Regardless, a great album, and one definitely worth buying.

Brings back memories

When I went to the Dear Friends concert in Chicago, I looked high and low for a cd of the event. Even though I was disappointed not to find anything, I can't say I walked away empty-handed: meeting Mr. Uematsu was quite an experience! This album really brings back memories of that night, of how it felt to be among so many other fans... For one night, in that concert hall, there was no war. No conflict of faith. No bigotry or sexism. There were gamers, and there was amazing music that brought us all back to our favourite gaming moments. This album is amazing on its own merit, but coupled with those thoughts from that night... Five stars isn't enough, and never will be.

You'll feel this one.

For diehard fans, you've found your album. For classical lovers, prepare your ears. The collection presented in this album hit alot of notes within yourself. Veteran Fantasy-ers would be hit by nostalgia instantaneously, as this collection of songs span across multiple Fantasies. In particular, Terra's Theme is what I feel is the crown jewel of this collection. It's beautiful orchestrated base, and wind-uses turns any listener into a dreamer.
