Customer Reviews

Some elements are good, but...

Okay. I've already downloaded, deleted, and re-downloaded the app a few times now, so I guess it's about time I leave a review. First off, I like the concept of the game. It can be very fun, and good for passing the time here and there. But there are a couple of issues which make it not worth the space taken up on my device. First off (not the main problem), it would be nice if the sims could die, or at least age out so we could have generations. However, I understand that this is a "freemium" game and therefore must be limited. That makes sense. I could live with that. Here's my problem: The quest to gain the ability to have sims marry requires them to "woohoo" as soon as they become partners. When I first got the game, you could skip this step, and you can still skip other things, but not this one. This probably won't be a problem for most people, but I can't in good conscience play a game that requires me to make my sims play out a sexual scenario that I myself wouldn't support. I don't expect everyone to agree with me or conform to my standards, but I would at least like to have the option to play without this step. I mean, really, is it that important to keep it in there? Seriously. Just restore the ability to skip it, and I'll be back. But I can't keep playing through a quest that violates my principles, nor can I recommend a game to friends when such an objective is both present and not allowed to be skipped.

Killing off Sims!

I've been a sim fan since forever. This is a fantastic game totally addicting😀 but I've come to notice that there are a few flaws😔. For one if you have a lot of money, things cost incredibly ridiculous. For example I'm a lvl 29 and I wanted to buy the 2-story Mansion but it's over 1 million!! I found out that people higher than me and with more buildings have to pay around 200,000 to 500,000, that's incredibly upsetting. I tried hard to make money and to waste 1/4 of it on a house and not even have built haft of the other buildings is sad. 😭 Also the Life Dreams and Legacies quest it BALONEY!😡👎🏻 I don't want my sims to age so quickly and just die I need time for them to build families and for that I need lifestyle points and so on. I hate how if I don't finish it I can't build some buildings in the Mysterious Island for example the arcade and the pet park and others😡. I recommend not finishing the "In stitches" quest if you don't want this to happen. You have to pay so much just to stop and restart aging as well! 😒 I'm not sure but if you don't finish the last quest then your sims won't ever die, which is why I'm saying that I just want the choice to age them to my pace, 18 days for example is just so little! Please help out all your simmers EA! Over all a great game other than those few things😅. #dontkilloursims💔

Better and Worse Changes

I started playing The Sims FreePlay not long after it came out to kill time, and in the beginning, it was fun, but after about a week I lost interest and deleted it. I looked back about a year later at how fun it had been originally, and downloaded it again hoping it was improved. Not much had changed, so again, I deleted it. I continued this every year if I really had nothing to do until the end of 2014, or 2015's turn. The app had many new features that impressed me. Still, it didn't seem like very much, but I decided to keep it.

A few weeks ago, I checked back, and so much had changed that kept me hooked a lot longer. There were some features, I didn't like, though. The clothing options are a lot more narrow, and newer quests tempt you to make in-app purchases. I decided to change the Sim's outfits about a week ago and change them today, but their clothing (skirts, certain shirts and tops) are no longer an option for the characters that I was just going to change clothing colors. There are way more limits than there used to be, and some that can only be unlocked with the magic of money, unlike before. I understand the objective is to usually make money from an app, but it is going overboard to make you spend more for less more often.
