I loathe reality TV, but I love this!

Generally, I LOATHE reality TV. And I was especially disturbed to see History Channel add more of this type of program over the past couple of years. My husband likes the other shows, so I have seen them, and I really feel they have no relevance on the History Channel. HOWEVER, this show is both entertaining and relevant. Learning how this stuff works - these are inventions, and this is our scientific history. It is facsinating, and the host is fantastic. He is charismatic, funny, and really knows the subject matter. His enthusiasm about finding out how it works is something I think a lot of us share. This show is pure fun, and it makes you feel like a kid again. I always dreamed of breaking everything open to find out what was inside and how the thing worked when I was a kid, and I'm still curious. I would add that this show is for ALL ages - our kids get as much a kick out of the show as we, the grownups do. This is one of the only reality shows worth watching, on ANY channel.

Mom, I want to slice the couch...

My 4-year-old son is all about the mechanics of everything, and he LOVES this show. Yesterday, he asked me "Mom where's my chainsaw, I need to slice the couch." We start every day watching "Sliced" and he is learning fantastic information. He knows about 10 types of saws, how basic motors work and asks very mature questions about the inner workings of almost everything. Thank you for a great show for people of all ages. - always wondered about that cue ball...
