Poor Update- feels like 2004


As soon as I updated the new fix- comes out it screwed everything- now when there is an incoming call I can’t see it- When I am driving it won’t connect through Bluetooth- Over all I will say the recent update screw the app- I am really disappointed with this service though it’s mandatory to pay AED 50 to use internet calling- Free apps are far better than this. i can really go on for hours complaining but due to Internet calling situations in UAE we don’t have any other options to use this application- I wish this can be fixed and can work like any other advanced application- I still remember when I was using other internet application to do Video call 10 years ago- those one were still better then this and at that time we did’t have high speed internet. I am just wondering how can this happen to the technology in such advance age.

Good App, Disappointing Company


App is easy to use, but company is far from transparent with regards to payments. No matter how much I pay, and after two visits to the shop to talk to a rep from du, who confirmed that I have paid a lot extra and have enough credit for one more bill, I keep on getting payment reminders everyday until they get service disconnected. Their explanation: Company/system error... I had to spend a weekend with no internet and no TV because of company error. They reconnect after more complaints, but request MORE unjustified payments.

Too bad I'm stuck with them, and if someone with any sense at du gets this message, please contact me and explain what non of your staff managed to explain.

Poor Internet and Customer Service


It’s been more than a month since I’ve contacted them to come fix my slow & interrupted internet connection and so far nobody showed up. I gave up. Looking back till May 24th when I made the first call to them:
- 14 phone calls to DU customer service
- 3 times they’ve called me back to find out if the technical team contacted me
- 1 time a technician contacted me that he will be arriving the next day at 9:30am. He never showed up.
- 3 emails with the same reply back: “Our records indicate that your issue is solved”.
- dropping internet connection and a speed from 16MB to 6.30MB.

Dear DU, you should be ashamed of everything you do. After all the many times and chances I gave you to rectify your problems, you continued to fail in your promises. I really believed that you are better than your competitor and never could have been more wrong. Apologies for the spam calls and email, I meant not to disturb your vacation. I will be canceling the contract with you asap. Have a wonderful day.
