A New Classic

I have been a fan of Cherish Alexander's music for a long time and I have to say this may be her finest work yet! There is such depth, and stirring emotions in each song. The lyrics pervade my mind and I find myself "Looking for God Everywhere", singing "Blue, Blue Heart" and praying for the day I can "Just Be". The songs all sound like classics, and yet they are all new and unique. And reading the story about creating the album is just as inspiring as the music! What an inspirational and powerful album that is sure to encourage hope and healing in others!!!! Wow!

Meet Me Where You Are

This gem of a song collection is to me, the perfect soundtrack to a road trip. This album sounds like a journey shared by the artist whose take on loss, reflection and redemption is as emotionally transparent as it is melodic. I love it!
Standouts include the anthem-like quality of "Just Be" - a straightforward and powerful track destined to resonate with everyone who hears it. "Gone To Soon" is haunting as it is beautiful - this song has a very cinemtatic feel - conjuring visuals alongside emotions. The rhythmic guitar riffs on "Little Girl" is coupled with a powerful narration of transcending childood trauma through hope and courage.
This album succeeds in taking the listener on the full arc of an emotive journey while staying true to its sound and painful honesty. Bravo!
