Album Review

Owing as much to the sound of Mötley Crüe as they do to the comedy stylings of Andrew Dice Clay, Steel Panther deliver a reminder of the crude old days on their fourth album, All You Can Eat. A pastiche of the sleazy glam metal that dominated the Los Angeles rock scene of the '80s, Steel Panther's sound will have people getting their guyliner and leather pants out of storage as they take a trip down memory lane. And though they might lack the minimal lyrical subtlety of the bands of that era, musically Steel Panther will scratch the itch of anyone craving a little hair metal excess. Rock on!

These guys are all very good at their respective elements. I can see how someone may think they are immature or too raunchy. But, the fact is, those people just take life too seriously and that's what makes those of us that do see the humor in this better people than those people. Not on the surface, but deep down, we are better than they are. Like...our souls are better. But, that doesn't make them bad people, just losers.

Very talented, very funny, great live shows

If you don't like what Steel Panther is all about, then why are you listening to their new album? These 1 star reviews are the only joke here. I've seen these guys live twice now and they know EXACTLY what they are doing and the crowds LOVE it. Either you're into it or you're not. If I wasn't into it, I wouldn't be listening to it and definitely wouldn't be writing any non-sensical biased opinions about it. Way to miss the point, people! It's like going to a horror movie and complaining about blood and gore!

And Skippyfromca is an idiot. Steel Panther fans consist of women - daughters, and mothers. Just because YOU don't have a sense of humor doesn't mean they don't. My gf loves it and even my own mother was laughing at the lyrics.

Album of the decade!

This is their best album yet! Lyrics are viciously funny, satchel kills it in every song. The guitar tone is cool on this album. Lexi and stixx are amazing. Love this album. Can't wait to see them open the Grammys with glory hole!

Genre: Rock

Satirically pretending to be a hair metal band that missed its big break in the '80s, singer Ralph Saenz ("Michael Starr"), drummer Darren Leader ("Stix Zadinia"), bassist Travis Haley ("Lexxi Foxxx"), and guitarist Russ Parrish ("Satchel") hit the club circuit on the Sunset Strip around the turn of the millennium under the name Metal Shop (later changed to Metal Skool, and then to Steel Panther). With big spiky wigs, leather jackets, zebra-striped spandex, chops earned from playing in a Van Halen...
