iTunes Review

It’s interesting and unexpected that The Scorpions —radio-friendly metal gods of the ‘70s and ‘80s—finally got around to recording an “unplugged” album in 2013. Such are the whims of synergy between a band and a cable TV series. Unlike on old-school unplugged performances, The Scorpions didn’t perform to a select audience in a small camera-ready venue; this was recorded at the Lycabettus Theatre in Athens. Yet the group still manage to be bold and far-reaching as well as acoustic and intimate. The entire audience is with them from the start, and the guitar solos here prove that acoustic guitars needn't slow these electric gunslingers down a bit. Whether it’s the classic older ballad “Born to Touch Your Feelings” or the monstrous radio hits “Rock You Like a Hurricane,” “Blackout,” “Still Loving You," and “No One Like You,” the band deliver like old pros who cheat with just enough electricity to ensure things rock hard even in the quietest moments.

Could have been great

Some of the greatest songs from a legendary band are butchered by tone-deaf guest vocalists. Listen to '' In Trance '' .

I seen this concert on VH1 Classic,I was totally blown away.Couldn't buy this fast enough. If your a Scorpions fan you Must Have This!!

Same songs with great new acoustic arrangements!

The album contains 24 familiar Scorpion songs from Klaus Meine, Mathias Jabs, and Rudolf Schenker, and others, but with a fresh new sound thanks to the new arrangements and acoustic guitars. I really like the album, and it's worth checking out if you've ever been a Scorpion fan.
