Beautiful Continuum

I fully agree with the earlier commentator and the formal review presented here. This is a masterpiece. Mingus had quite a few of them. But this one is just so easy to love. Strongly recommended in this context is Mingus' album "The Clown" that was recorded two years prior to this. It features the amazing "Haitian Fight Song," which was the aesthetic backbone to this outing. So, if you are happy with the snippets, don't hesitate and purchase both albums, be it on iTunes or actual CDs (CD quality is, of course, better) , and plug in your subwoofer and enjoy an extra dimension via Mingus' penetrating bass tone.

Masterpiece

Simply one of the most enjoyable records I've ever listened to. This album sets a mood and doesnt let go til the end. Stand outs are "Moanin", "Cryin' Blues" really all of them are good, if you like jazz in any way, get this album!
