Customer Reviews

A Very Weak Effort. *hissss*

I pre-ordered this expecting catchy hooks, driving bass, and icy vocals. I am super disappointed. I love Batbox and Two. This album seems very unpolished and half-hearted. After the first couple of songs, the album goes catatonic - delving into generic downbeat 90s electronic. My recommendation is to pass on this album. All the cleverness, glitchy, over-the-top Kittin you may have come to expect is sorely missing from this album. You can check out several of the songs on Miss Kittin's soundcloud page before you buy. I haven't made it through every track yet, they are hard to stomach.

A True Star!

Miss Kittin is by far one of the most hard working female artist in the electronic music world and for some strange reason one of the most under-rated ones as well. Calling From The Stars is a beautiful blend of deep dark electronic soundscapes that mesh beautifully in a 23 track album, I mean, who else gives you that much music in one seating? This is by far her most personal, most ambitious and independent work yet and I'm glad to be part of her musical journey.

lyrics need work

this would've been a decent album- there are some very cool sounds here-- until you start hearing the lyrics.

i cringed every time i heard an awesome track starting up, and then comes the empty, vapid lyrics. really? grass? cosmic whatever? trees? the ocean? is life so empty and meaningless that this is all you can talk about?

this album could've been a décent effort had they taken the effort to hire someone who can actually write. what a shame because this woman is clearly talented, just not with lyrics. she might as well be singing out of a instruction manual for a hot pot.
