iTunes Review

Hailing from Santa Barbara, Calif., Rebelution serves up a sunny and relentlessly positive sound that fuses roots reggae, SoCal pop, breezy funk, and acoustic folk, culminating in upbeat and likeable music that seems tailor-made for an on-campus Spring Fling. Peace of Mind is the group’s fourth studio album, picking up where 2009's Bright Side of Life left off. Furthering Rebelution’s eclectic approach are diverse guest artists, including Blues Traveler's John Popper (the super-mellow “Closer I Get”), Zion I's Zumba (“So High”), and SOJA’s Jacob Hemphill, who joins the group for “Meant to Be.” In an interesting twist, the deluxe version features both acoustic and dub remixes for all 12 tracks, resulting in 36 songs overflowing with peace, love, and good vibes for all. Recommended for fans of Sublime, SOJA, and Kapakahi. Highlights include “Life on the Line,” “Calling Me Out,” and “Sky Is the Limit.”

Customer Reviews

Peace of Mind has it all..."Calling Me Out" feels like Courage to Grown, "Comfort Zone" and "Day by Day" feel like Bright Side of Life, and "Route Around," “Closer I Get"," and "Lady in White" sound unlike anything else the band has recorded. In addition, the acoustic album has new arrangements and the dub album is full of unique effects making all three albums different and something new. Rebelution has done it again with another amazing record that more than just reggae fans can appreciate. Great job boys!

About to blow up!!

Rebelution is big and is only going to get bigger after this album. I have yet to meet someone who sat down and listened to any song and not bob their head in enjoyment. Rebelution is all about a positive message with meaningful lyrics to a beat to bob your head to and they did just that in Peace of Mind. The band was awesome enough to release 6 songs on their website for free so I've been listening to some of these songs for some while now
Sky is the Limit- 8.5/10 Nice pace with good vibe
Comfort Zone-9.8/10 Again I like the pace but I couldn't stop listening when I first heard it, so catchy
Good Vibes-9/10 Positive message with a head bobbing vibe
Route Around- 9.5/10 One of the slower songs but the build up is amazing with a solid solo and horns
Meant to Be- 9/10 Solid beat and message, gotta love SOJA
Life on the Line- 8/10 I like the live version better but the guitaring is sick
Closer I get- 8.5/10 I didn't dig this at first but after a few listens it grew on me immensly, the end with the harmonica is bliss
Lady In White-8.8/10 Different from the rest of the album but the beat is sick
So High- 9/10 easy enough lyrics but who doesn't love a smoking song
Day by Day- 9.4/10 Back to the fast paced beat with meaningful lyrics. good song to bump
Calling Me Out-9/10 solid song
Honeypot- 7/10 not feeling it but still not terrible

It's Finally Here!!!!!

Been wearing all my reggae out lately! SO GLAD for some new vibes!!

Been a tough world out there lately, this will bring me back to a "peace of mind"
