Customer Reviews

I absolutely LOVE Fleet Foxes, but I am quite shocked by the price of this anthology. It includes 28 songs with a total price of $50! If you buy each of the songs for 99 cents, which are all available for individual purchase, you'd spend less than $32 (plus tax). You wouldn't get the ONE tired iTunes-standard "Album-Only" booklet, but is that single item worth an extra $18? Come on, iTunes! This is ridiculous.

[Note: as of July 10, 2013, the price of this anthology as seen on my screen is $49.99, which may change if iTunes sees the problem. Additionally, my 5-star rating is for the music ONLY, not the price.]

But Why?

I just don't see the need to release a "Complete Collection" when a band only has 32 songs. Fleet Foxes is one of my favorite bands, but this just seems silly and unnecessary. How about a new album?

It's cheaper to buy the albums separately.

If you buy both albums plus the EP on iTunes, that's about 24 bucks. This "complete collection" which doesn't even include their debut EP is charging over twice as much. It's great music but don't get ripped off.

Mixing Baroque pop with elements of classic rock and British folk, the band took shape in 2006 as Pecknold was joined by guitarist Skyler Skjelset, bassist Bryn Lumsden, drummer Nicholas Peterson, and keyboardist Casey Wescott. After playing only a handful of shows, the band generated...
