AWSOME

Some good material, I think they have outdone themselves with this one. its a little groovier than their previous stuff. seriously...good.

Overproduced, undervalued

Initial listens to this album have proven to me that the Black Keys are no longer the blues driven, raw band that we all grew to love. Danger Mouse, while normally brilliant, has ruined one of my favorite bands. Allowing an outside presence into their writing was downright wrong. I hope the Keys take a few years off after their tour to reevaluate the direction they are heading and draw inspiration from their early influences. I understand that "Brothers" helped bring them to mainstream media, but their best albums were released well before their last two albums. I can only hope for a revival of the old style in the future, but judging on similar situations (i.e. the Kings of Leon), the Black Keys have a new sound which is here to stay. Sad day.

A little new, a little old

This album is fantastic!!! Not as heavily produced as Brothers and not as gritty as Big Come Up or Thickfreakness. Both were amazing albums, and this is just as good IMO. Can't go wrong w any Black Keys album at this point.
