truly a spell binding piece of work. my only regret is that i found in 2010 not '79. this music changed my life and it will change yours too just give it a chance

An $8.91 RIP OFF!!!!

This album was one of my first vinyl purchases and I loved it. Loved it to the point of the vinyl looking like I had drawn on it with a steak knife. We in our 40's are terribly nostalgic for the good music of our youth, thus the continued popularity of "classic rock" stations & the viral reaction when The Beatles are offered on iTunes. So, yeah, I jumped at the chance to buy the digital version of Extensions. I couldn't wait to share "Twilight Tone" with my kids, bop around to "Coo Coo You" and get mushy with the hubby over "Foreign Affair". But no, right off the bat things were not quite right. In fact the album is incomplete, wrong, and bad. If iTunes had any self-respect, they would not offer this as a re-issue of Extensions but songs "based on the album" & not even offer the cool cover art that graced the original album. Big, fat, honkin' disappointment.

classic MT , fun quirk and a disco hit

Great mix of songs. This is not the original version "Twilight Tone" that's on the vinyl. This version seems to be recorded live.

Formed: 1969 in New York, NY

Genre: Jazz

Years Active: '60s, '70s, '80s, '90s, '00s, '10s

Originally formed in 1969, the quartet recorded several albums of jazz standards as well as much material closer to R&B/pop. Still, they were easily the most popular jazz vocal group of their era, and the most talented of any since the heyday of Lambert, Hendricks & Ross during the early '60s....
