Their Best Yet!

This has to be the best I've heard from Firewind since Allegience! Every track on here is great! So glad to see that they moved away from the mainstream sound of their last two albums. This is a true metal masterpiece. Very, very well done! =)

Different, but that's good right?

Few Against Many is a lot different than their past albums, in my opinion. It's not Firewind's best album, but it's growing on me. It will take more than one listen to appreciate it, so don't just give it one go around and then make up your mind. Give the album some time. I can't put an exact reason on it, but the album is just different. That's fine, all bands go through changes. My main complaint is that, while Gus G. is an amazing guitarist, some of the lead parts are insane, but seemed out of place. Overall, Few Against Many is a descent album. The best songs are Wall of Sound, Few Against Many, and Edge of a Dream (steals the show).

Another solid effort

Firewind shreds off another great record. They continue their great rhythms and vocals through the entire record. My ONLY complaint, is that some of the tracks sound very similar to their rpevious releases. Great collection, but I would lvoe to see them span out a bit like they did on Days of Defiance. Overall, great record, easily worth the price.

Formed: Thessaloniki, Greece

Genre: Metal

Years Active: '00s

Yet another power metal ensemble showcasing the widely acknowledged and always in-demand talents of Greek guitar hero Gus G. (whose real name is Kostas Karamitroudis, and whose other credits include Dream Evil and Mystic Prophecy, among countless guest spots), Firewind blurs the lines between serious band and casual side project with its fluid multinational membership and surprisingly busy musical output. The latter has been represented by dependably yearly releases such as Between Heaven and Hell...
