iTunes Review

Working Men is a live album compiled from three previous live releases, Snakes & Arrows Live , Rush In Rio and R30, with “One Little Victory” as the one previously unreleased track. An unusual move, but it does settle any scores over whether or not Rush is still a capable live band. Though their studio albums are brilliant conceptual pieces, the band prides themselves, rightfully so, for their ability to bring it to the stage. Unlike many veteran bands, Rush has not lost their precision or aggressive edge. They remain a virtuostic power trio, with guitarist Alex Lifeson forever the band’s unsung hero despite an arsenal of memorable solos. There’s no mistaking the manic, meticulous drumming of Neil Peart as he slashes through fan favorites such as “Tom Sawyer,” “Limelight,” “The Spirit of Radio” and “Freewill.” Singer Geddy Lee shifts from bass to keyboards for their teen-alienation anthem “Subdivisions.” The trio pull off the tricky time signatures of “YYZ” and the orchestral grandeur of “2112.”

Great Live album.

Its cool to see rush coming out with live stuff like this. this is a great collection of live songs

Must own album

This cd is better than Retrospective 3 and other collections. This is Rush at their best (LIVE). The performances here are truly epic and inspired. The renditions of 2112, Subdivisions, Dreamline, Tom Sawyer and others blow away their studio counterparts and other versions found in other live albums. You simply must buy this album -even if you own all Rush cds. You won't regret it, this is a flawless Rush realese with 100% no skippable tracks. . The samples dont do justice to how good this is. Again, a MUST OWN cd.

Over the course of their decades-spanning career, Canadian power trio Rush emerged as one of hard rock's most highly regarded bands; although typically brushed aside by critics and rarely the recipients of mainstream pop radio airplay, Rush nonetheless won an impressive and devoted fan following, while their virtuoso performance skills solidified their standing as musicians' musicians. Rush formed in Toronto, Ontario, in the autumn of 1968, initially comprising guitarist Alex Lifeson (born Alexander...
