Shiny Pop/Rock

This overview of Patty Smyth's career (to 1998) will satisfy casual fans and those seeking the ubiquitous hits "Goodbye to You," "No Mistakes," and "Sometimes Love Just Aint Enough." More dedicated fans will remain disappointed that the more engaging tracks from 80's albums "Scandal," "The Warrior" and the criminally overlooked "Never Enough" remain unavailable. Nevertheless, this set deserves your time, if only because it is seemingly the only place you can obtain "Love's Got a Line On You," "Wish I Were You," and "Downtown Train" (easily the best cover version of the Tom Waits classic) in the same place.

Patty Come Back!!

Patty Smyth is easily one of the best rock vocalist of all time. Equally satisfying is her songwriting prowess. Nice Collection

Although it sold respectably, it didn't have any major hit singles. Smyth returned to the top of the charts in 1992 with "Sometimes Love Just Ain't Enough," a duet with Don Henley; the single hit number two and went gold. Its parent album, Patty...
