Zombie throws some good Halloween sounding favorites into the mix (Don't Fear the Reaper, Halloween II) along with some good classic music that takes place during the film while Michael grows up (God of Thunder, Alice Cooper). Though i'm not sure how Nazareth's 'Love Hurts' is going to fit well in the feel without making the audience laugh. Tyler Bates two score tracks are amazing! He really captures the Halloween feel with that extra gritty Zombie feel. The only reason i'm giving this 4 out of 5 stars is because this is not the unrated CD with the clips from the film. Why is that CD not up on iTunes?
Can't beat a classic
I am a much bigger fan of the dramatic music on the soundrack, rather than the real songs. I'm not sure about the other songs, but the classic "Halloween Theme" makes me give this album 5 stars. I also like the other song, "The Shape Stalks Laurie." Although some of the other songs add to the drama, you just can't beat classic, orchestra music.
Music is great along with decent movie (4.5 mics)
I had actually just comeback from seeing the movie, and it equals with the original. A movie that actually will please fans. Zombie had done a good job with it, more of a story line, a little over the top with the gore. Also a comeback in horror movie. See it.
