Pretty Good

This is definitely not the best of the Carmen recordings, but it is much better than some of the ones that are more popular on iTunes. Graciela Alperyn's voice changes a bit in different songs, being in some too quavery or slidey (is that a word?), in others, very full, strong, and...Carmen-ish. The "Kakakaka - Attends U Peu, Carmen" from Act 2 is one of her better parts. Giorgio Lamberti's voice is a little bit whiny, but he is a decent Jose. Act 4 was, interestingly, compressed from the usual four or five songs into two, making for a 16-minute "Album Only" song at the end. This is a very adequate interpretation, and I'll probably be buying several of these songs.

Squee! First reviewer

I definitly do not hate it, but it is only okay.
