Nice energy, great playing all around (especially the horns)

Our orchestra is scheduled to perform this piece with Dutoit in a few weeks and I didn't own a recording of it. I listened to all the samples from the various groups and this one stood out immediately for its precision, clarity, energy and excitement. Noticing that the popularity of another recording was much higher, I was puzzled. I looked up the album details and it appears that this recording was very recently released (Jan. 09). I can only hope that it replaces the one at the top of the list as the preferred performance to listen to. I found it excellent. My basis for this review is strictly the Dumbarton Oaks tracks on the album, as those are the only ones that I downloaded. Great job St. Lukes!!!
