Decent rendition

When Gilbert was announced as the new director of the NY Phil I had my doubts based his previous efforts. It is apparent from this recording that these fears have been laid to rest. Rather then being all hype like the man with hair from the west coast, Gilbert brings gravitas and an ear to detail that belies his age. If he keeps up this sort of level of conducting only good things will be in store for NY. -Bz

Very fine interpretation of Mahler’s 9th. Buy it with confidence.

The comments from customers should constitute a nice democratic forum of enthusiastic music lovers. I hope that it is possible to discourage closet experts like “Boolez” to spend most of their lives writing reviews based on 30 sec impressions. Enough is enough
