EDITORS’ NOTES

On their second album, The Wild Feathers add heaping doses of vintage power pop to their roots rock. The result is a batch of tunes as rich in chiming chords and multipart harmonies as it is in heartland twang and down-home familiarity. Echoing a brash young Tom Petty circa 1979, “Overnight” and “Happy Again” are brilliant odes to growing up restless, reckless, and hopelessly romantic in America. When the group add a bubbling drum machine to the acoustic-flavored “Hallelujah,” they reveal a cool knack for tweaking the very classic rock conventions they so clearly cherish.

Fan-girling over this. And I'm a guy.

A certain customer,

I absolutely love this band. I bought their debut album when it was fairly new and was amazed to find that I loved every song. I love the two pre-releases on this album and can't wait to see what these fellars have up their sleeve for the rest of the album.

Can't believe I haven't heard them!!

Shattenfreud,

Wow very classic slow rock feel instantly felt like I was in eagles territory with goodbye song and the more and no fluke I listened to more and now a Instant fan. Thanks guys and keep up the great work.

About The Wild Feathers

Formed in 2010 in Nashville, Tennessee around the talents of Ricky Young, Joel King, and Taylor Burns, all of whom had served as lead singers in their previous bands, the Wild Feathers came together out of a shared love for all things Tom Petty, Led Zeppelin, Neil Young, the Band, and the Allman Brothers. Preferring the term "American" over Americana, the Wild Feathers eventually inked a deal with Warner Bros. and found themselves opening shows for Bob Dylan and Willie Nelson. The band's eponymous major-label debut hit the streets in the summer of 2013. The album peaked at number one on Billboard's Heatseekers chart, resulting in invites to appear on Jimmy Kimmel, Conan O Brien, Seth Meyers, Craig Ferguson, and ABC's Nashville, as well as critical acclaim from the likes of Rolling Stone, The New York Times, and USA Today. The band's sophomore studio long-player, Lonely Is a Lifetime, dropped in early 2016. ~ James Christopher Monger
