Wonderful new song, much-anticipated new collection

So glad to see Boz Scaggs releasing a new album of blue-eyed soul, and this advance-release cut is exceptionally well-done and bodes well for the rest of the album, which releases in just a few days. Scaggs is in fine form vocally, and the instrumentation (especially the soulful guitar) reminds this listener of some of his finest tunes from the 1970s and 1980s. Highly recommended. But buy the whole album when it's out March 5, as I have!

After first finding acclaim as a member of the Steve Miller Band, singer/songwriter Boz Scaggs went on to enjoy considerable solo success in the 1970s. Born William Royce Scaggs in Ohio on June 8, 1944, he was raised in Oklahoma and Texas, and while attending prep school in Dallas met guitarist Steve Miller. Scaggs joined Miller's group the Marksmen as a vocalist in 1959, and the pair later attended the University of Wisconsin together, where they played in blues bands like the Ardells and the Fabulous...
