EDITORS’ NOTES

Amy Shark made the perfect indie-rock slow-dance song with “Adore.” Night Thinker shows there’s more moody nocturnal music worth your attention. With deeply echo-chambered vocals over swooning beats and spare instruments, Shark chills the air and nestles in your head. “Weekends” and “Drive You Mad” are the type of songs that trigger flashbacks to secret crushes and all the things you should have said.

Amazing Artist from Australia

MikeG45

I discovered Amy Shack from a post on my Facebook feed. This EP is amazing. I love every song on it. I hope she makes it big here in the USA. If you have Apple Music give it a listen you will love it.I like it so purchased it even though I have Apple Music.

Incredible

Dead Whale Queen

I love her so much. I was wondering how she could follow up "Adore", but "Weekends" and "Drive You Mad" confirmed that she is one of the most exciting new artists of the past few years. Also excited to see a feature from Allday. 10/10

About Amy Shark

Amy Shark is the performance alias of Amy Billings, a singer and songwriter of angsty, atmospheric indie pop from Gold Coast, Australia. After making music for a several years, including an EP called Sweats and Shivers, to little attention, she entered a song in the Queensland Music Awards and ended up winning the pop category. She then began touring nationally and received an arts grant that allowed her to work with producer M-Phazes on her song "Adore." The single was well-received on radio upon release in 2016 and went on to become a Top Three hit in Australia in early 2017. She signed with Sony Australia's Wonderlick label, and her official debut EP, Night Thinker, entered the country's albums chart at number two a few months later. ~ Marcy Donelson
