Customer Reviews

Good stuff!

Powerful well written music is not new from this taleted artist but many are unaware that he continues to write and record solo. And the fact that he plays all of the instruments on each song shows the depth of his talent. The title song "Opposite Gods" rocks and shows off his ample guitar skills while cuts like "Dancing Through the Pain" and "Veterans" show his powerful vocal harmonies. The a cappella "Alfi's Torment" and the incredible instrumental "October Sun" shows the maturity to bravely try new sounds and genre. All in all a good listen front to back and like me you will find new things to like with each listen.

Why is Tod Howarth not a megastar? Why!?

You might remember Tod from Ace Frehley's first solo band, Frehley's Comet. You may have seen him behind keyboards with Cheap Trick or you might remember his from Ted Nugent's band a while back. Tod's been around the rock world for a while. He has a couple of other albums that aren't available on iTunes (hopefully soon).
He's quietly done his thing for years and then he ROARS back with this album. This is a one man project with Tod handling the songwriting, playing almost everything himself and contributing to the artwork. AND IT'S FANTASTIC. Everything about this record is impressive. If forced to pick a favorite track I'd go with "Drown" or "Way Down South" but they're all great. It's a rock album like in the old days when rock and roll was an artform.
Buy it, you'll be impressed with Tod's musical skill, his songwriting and his powerful vocals (I think his voice has greatly improved since the Comet days). This is an underrated masterpiece that belongs in every rock fan's collection. Keep rockin' Tod!
