EDITORS’ NOTES

Banda Sinaloense MS have long been one of Mexico's most eclectic groups, swinging between the elegance of banda's old-school balladeers and the excitement of a glitzy club act ready to throw down. Con Todas Las Fuerzas, the Mazatlán ensemble's 13th album, is once again dominated by leader Sergio Lizárraga's explosive horn arrangements. The brass weeps on the orchestral romántica "Mejor Me Alejo," erupts in adrenaline-pumping bursts on the corrido "Las Calles de Mi Rancho," and cranks up the tempo on the funky cumbia "El Cocodrilo."
