Portraits

This is excellent, there is such a depth of understanding of human nature in this set. I love Emmylou Harris anyway but this set is etherial in its connection with human identity.

Great place to start for new fans

Good overview of her career up til 1992. Only complaint is not enough songs from 'Sally Rose', 'White Shoes' or 'Brand New Dance'. Missing some hits yes from the 80s but shows what a true gift she was to 70s and 80s country paving the way for those that came after her. She's a true treasure. Great to hear the outtakes and an all round great collection of songs. Makes for a great listen. Get Songbird box set iTunes!

Nice as Anthology: The Warner/ Reprise Years

Great overview of her career.
