A beautifully mastered, psychedelically-charged, musical 3-D chessboard.

nicotune

Drawing on waters from a pool flavored with the timbres of Joni Mitchell, Rickie Lee Jones and Grace Slick, velvet-voiced singer-songwriter, Bodhi (aka Becki DiGregorio, vocals, acoustic guitars, sitar, dilruba) combines forces and chops with a trio of accomplished San Francisco Bay area musicians: Tom Ayres (Chuck Prophet, Persephone's Bees, guitars/pedals), Endre Tarczy (The Howling Iguanas, John Wedemeyer, bass/keyboards) and Trey Sabatelli (The Tubes, drums/percussion) to create this layer-cake of psychedelic, magical mystery.
Mastering Engineer, the legendary Doug Sax of The Mastering Lab of Ojai, CA (The Wall, Who’s Next, Nilsson Schmilsson, the Rolling Stones’ Sticky Fingers and the Eagles’ eponymous debut album) enables "Revolutions" to auditorially traverse a complex and multidimensional universe of multi-track mastery.
Transcendent lyrics and sublime vocals marry with the virtuosity of the musicianship to create a work of art that demands the most intricate exploration and committed, complex listening. I suggest enjoying this experience, while listening on headphones with the iTunes visualizer providing a background light show. Or perhaps you'd rather just crank it up, on your McIntosh powered Klipschorns; either way, give it multiple listens, in it's entirety.

Remembering When…..

KenKat12

The past collided with the present the moment I began listening to Revolutions by The Liquid Scene! The melodies of long forgotten groups such as The Joy of Cooking and Strawberry Alarm Clock began to resurface reminding me of another time and place. Bodhi's (aka Becki Di Gregorio) rich voice and guitar plus her talented accompanists take you on a journey back when rock with its undertones of folk was "liquid." If Grace Slick was in a Yellow Submarine, that's the sound and flavor to be found on this remarkable album. Turn it up and Enjoy!!!

Stereophonic sound

Time slows down…time speeds up… time stands still when I am listening to this magical tapestry of psychedelic music. This is an album listening experience with kaleidoscopic flashes of dilruba, sitar, percussion, guitar, and vocal rounds - all in stereophonic sound. I love that the album includes lyrics to guide me like Beatrice through psychedelic paradiso. ‘Mystery machine’ is my favorite song. It makes me want to sing and dance. It enters my dreams at night waking me with its playful lyrics. Let the colours of the album artwork and the sound of ‘revolutions’ inspire you to create and indulge and let go…
