Could this be the key to the wiggly worm?

Rocket Empires newest long player soars like a galactic soundscape at a point in time where as a global society we really do need to cool our jets. Producer Dave Dish paints a mystical aural journey through the stars, flying by all those amazingly colorful gaseous formations in a spaceship designed by Hayao Miyazaki. It’s the soundtrack to a space walk over the tropical blue waters of planet Earth, where the astronaut turns slowly to look down at the majesty of this blue sphere of life, where he or she might see schools of dolphins and whales swimming in unison to Dish's almost classical sounding waves organic synths, pads, analog sweeps and crescendos. It's atmospheric, it's tribal, it's deep yet melodic and with structure; sometimes dark, at times full of light then dubby and inky and goes down like an '85 Nuits St. Georges that's so good it makes your eyes water.

If you enjoyed Global Communications 76:14 you'll love this, also sits well with Fila Brazillas more chilled and dubby efforts, which of course were spectacular. Add a sprinkle, just a hint of India (without any cliched Sitar, thankfully) and you get the idea. The song “Cruising The Galaxy” with Mina Fedora is a vocal standout, her voice has an earthly, breath-y softness and charm that carries the song solidly, and Dave’s guitar work woven throughout somehow reminds me of The Cure's more spiritual moments and David Gilmours most groovy efforts.

Funky Techno Tribes - take notice - of note for the dance floor is Downtime, a breaky, tribal, rain-stick, percussive sort of ethereal-then-deamy-rockish-guitar-sustain-hippy-tech funk breaks number, reminiscent of the good days raving in the hot desert while the sun comes up and everything and everyone is somehow connected.. and you're ready for the next level.

I'm taking this to the beach, at sunset with some friends, lighting a driftwood fire and looking up at the wonder of the cosmos. So many stars.

Soooo good!

Best music for after a day at work, I can chill out or do my cooking dinner thing and feel like the day is mellow and I've got time to be me. LOVE the tempo and the firesight in each song

Perfection !

What an amazing album !!! Rocket Empire is on fire, this album is epic and should be the downtempo album of the year !
