Music from the hippie days

Great mix of folk and rock

Great Psychadelia & Folk Rock with Debbie Harry

Recently popular due to the fact that this album features Debbie Harry who would later come to be known as the lead singer of Blondie from the late 70's & 80's.

This band which disbanded by the end of the 60's was captured on 2 albums the latter of which was never released. Instead we are left with their debut album. Full of great folk-pop tunes and trippy acid rock parodies like "My Uncle Used To Love Me But She Died".
Some great gems here and a huge psychadelic reading straight from the popular book appropriately titled Wind In the Willows on There Is But One Truth Daddy.

Debbie Harry's voice is quite recognizable and prominent on the album. A very soft and sweet lead vocal can be found in "Djini Judy".
The best track I find and one that was actually a single is Moments Spent. Such a product of it's time. Give it a listen.

Love it!

The range of tunes was fairly diverse, getting into slightly spacy sunshine pop, bad vaudeville rock,...
