iTunes Editors’ Notes

On his third studio album, G-Eazy raps about the demands of blowing up over the affecting boom-bap of "Opportunity Cost": "Missing every birthday, anniversary/Yesterday my mom got out of surgery." It's surprisingly poignant, especially when the rapper's mom congratulates her son on his success via voicemail at the end. It's this honesty and approachability that's made G-Eazy an indie rap sensation. While his adenoidal voice and indie status inevitably invite comparisons to Macklemore, the Berkeley native has his own lane. His beats are full of warm chords that tug at the heartstrings ("Far Alone," "Downtown Love"), while his lyrics deal with finding redemption amid the hustle of the rap game, which shows no signs of slowing for this white-hot MC.

G-Eazy: the legend

being deaf isnt a valid excuse to not buy this.

G-Eazy

I have been following G-Eazy since day one and this album is going to be his best yet... He is going to be a star when this drops

Game changer

Support this dude man. His music is changing hip hop. He goes hard in all of his songs and its obvious G is a perfectionist because of how much time he has put towards the album. These Things Happen will be a trending topic. It would be a mistake to not buy this album!

Born Gerald Earl Gillum in Oakland, California, G-Eazy launched his career while still in college, heading up a hip-hop crew named the Bay Boyz while dropping his solo debut, The Epidemic LP, in 2009.
