Artistic at its Core

Whereas The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny brought Neil Cicierega (Lemon Demon) into the spotlight, the true worth of this album comes from the deep, artistic, beautiful nature of much of the music, not just the humor. In fact, I feel more of an, as the song "Stuck" puts it, "happily gloomy" emotion, tinged with nastalgia, from this album then hilarity.

The beautiful, mournful tune of Archaeopteryx tugs at feelings I rarely experience in day to day life. Indie Cindy is a fusion of cheery sorrow, and again brings a unique feel. Dinosaurchestra Part Three is a stunning climax, and The Too Much Song fades out on a simple but delicate fashion.

If you want to experience something completely off the beaten track (well, besides Showdown) and yet beautiful, then this album will deliver much more than you can expect from such a strange heritage. It's such a unique mix of sorrow and bounce, not really bittersweet but whimsically sad yet sunny.

Oh, but it is also funny. Such a wondrously strange album!

Great Album!

I really hate how the only thing people are commenting on is The Ultimate Showdown. But great album, of course!
