Powerhouse Soundtrack

I am a fan of action scores and this one really exceeded my expectations. The music is dynamic, fast paced, exciting, and powerful. Brian Tyler conducts the London Symphony Orchestra with a deft hand and the electronic and hip-hop backdrop serves to give this thrilling score a modern edge. There is an east meets west feel to many of the tracks with fluidic cello solos and asian bells. But predominant is the signature Tyler percussion, strings, and brass giving you an adrenaline rush with hooks and themes that will stick in your head. The album is fantastic from start to finish with only the non-Brian Tyler songs being a weak point.

Killer soundtrack!

Brian Tyler has made one of the most masterful action soundtracks ever with War. I have not seen this movie yet but the music is amazing. It is right up there with my favorites of all time with its catchy hooks and its excellent blend of electronic and acoustic orchestral music. FYI the movie was made in 2007 - that 2000 release date is a misprint. The RZA, Mark Batson, and Machines of Loving Grace songs are pretty good too but the highlights are to be found in the Tyler tracks. But where is the main title remix I saw previewed online? That track is great!

End Song
