Deluxe Experience

Iv heard The Wall many times over the years but The Deluxe Experience edition is a must have for any hardcore Pink Floyd fan. I bought it specifically for the 27 Demo tracks and they are awesome. I think the demo for Young Lust is actually better than the studio release version. With gems like the Demo Teacher Teacher that later became The Hero's Return on the Final Cut and Sexual Revolution which Roger used on The Pros and Cons of HitchHiking you cant go wrong with this purchase plus you get Live recordings and the Behind The Wall Documentary 30$ is a bargain for all this epic Pink Floyd Awesomness!

Is there anybody out there?

Pink Floyd's The Wall is a must-have, especially the deluxe edition. If you can get your hands on the Immersion set, go for it! This is the next best alternative. First, you get a handful of demos. Those demos alone are worth the $30 price tag!

Next, you get a partial live rendition of the album. I think they should release the whole performance to iTunes as it was released on CD some odd years ago. It's not a bad idea, but I want to be able to listen to the whole concept rather than a few selections. I guess I will stick with the original CD for now.

I also recommend the movie adaption of The Wall. Overall, not a bad price, not a bad album and an awesome experience. Thank you Pink Floyd for this beautiful piece of art.

Better than the original

The demos sound better than the original wall there's more guitar and instrumental work of the early pink floyd

Some bands turn into shorthand for a certain sound or style, and Pink Floyd belongs among that elite group. The very name connotes something specific: an elastic, echoing, mind-bending sound that evokes the chasms of space. Pink Floyd grounded that limitless sound with exacting explorations of mundane matters of ego, mind, memory, and heart, touching upon madness, alienation, narcissism, and society on their concept albums of the '70s. Of these concept albums, Dark Side of the Moon resonated strongest,...
