Solid App w/ Great Developer Support

Bottom line: It’s seems a little pricey up front, but you get well more than you pay for.

I’ve used 1Password for four years now and their active development just keeps making it so indispensible. I’ve got it installed on 4 iOS devices and 6 OS X devices that I administer and it has sped up my work tremendously while enhancing security across the board. I balked a little at the price initially, but it has paid for itself many times over in easily-integrated enhanced security measures.

I was prompted to write because as an experienced home network administrator, I’m usually loath to contact tech support directly fearing the typical patronization that normally comes with it. After doing my usual (lurking in forums and beating up Google), I gave up and sent some diagnostic data to their support e-mail. Within minutes I had a response that they weren’t quite sure what was happening (trusting that I had already done the initial troubleshooting) and that they would talk to the dev team. A couple of days later, I recevied a fix and it worked perfectly. All of this without a service contract for software I purchased years ago? You guys have yourself an acolyte!

Just fantastic!!!

I bought this for my 1st IPad, it was $20 and I wondered if it was going to be worth while. 4 IPads later and my answer is an ethusiatic YES! I started setting up my new (first) IMac yesterday and when I got around to wondering about a password app today, I was pleased to see there was a 1Password app for my IMac. The price made me hesitate for a few seconds, in the past I found programs that didn’t measure up when moving accross platforms. But when I installed this app on my IMac it started updating logins/passwords etc. before I could do anything. it is perfectly compatible with the OS apps. Wonderful!

1Password

Advanced, reliable, secure, attractive User Interface, frequently updated with new features and dead bugs, a dev/support team that cares about its customers. It’s all here packed into one digital wallet. This MacOS app coupled with their iOS app makes this an invaluable tool. Highly recommended though the price is a little steep these days. I paid $25 for the desktop app, it but I do think pushing $70 is a bit much (unless they threw in the iOS pro-features for free). I can’t comment on the 1Password Teams and Families features are they are completely irrelevant to me but I’m sure it’s useful to some.
