Developer Statement:
We engage with the community via interactive livestreams, social media, and forums. We believe our players are the best evangelists for the game.

Our goal was to build a game world where everyone is important, whether that is a heroic warrior who likes to raid, or a player who prefers crafting, fishing, tending the garden, and working with others. That’s the reason the game is called “Villagers and Heroes”. The sub-title for this game could be “Even a villager is a hero”.

The game has player-run villages. These are real places in the world that player characters live in, and improve by building better facilities, populate with houses, gardens, animals, and even vote for the mayor. The village fosters a strong community because of its cooperative play.

Finally there is a game that you can play casually as a hero or a villager! I’m actually glad there is no pvp in this game, because pvp always kills the game. PVP players are usually the only ones left playing the game in the end because they run off the people who just want to play casually and have fun. I think having no pvp will make you more money in the long run because the casual players will stay and spend on things that will benefit their character, and you won’t have to rely on the pvpers only to top up because there are more casual gamers than pvpers. There are a lot of games that went dead because they relied to heavily on pvpers to spend and those pvpers alone can’t keep a game going. PVP games always has to merge servers and then make new servers just to lure people back in, making them think they have a chance, and then they end up getting merged with severs that has more powerful pvpers within a month. I’m all for having an arena and duels, but I think if you want to keep your player base, and to keep the peace, I’d keep pvp out of this game.

MMORPG Aspects Missing

First off I’d like to say that I’d advocate for this game as the best MMORPG on mobile. But the game is missing key elements such as working with friends to defeat bosses and PvP. I’d love to work with my friends towards getting great gear by defeating bosses but that content seems to be missing. I understand there are elder bosses but that’s nothing like going into an instance with many unique bosses and getting a dedicated team together to down them. Secondly, PvP is without a doubt the longest lasting form of content because it is not static like PvE is. It is constantly changing and every battle is different from the last. Those are the two biggest problems I see for the game and because of the lack of end game content in the form of raids and dungeons I may have to pass on this game. MMORPGS aren’t sustainable for me if I’m not working with my friends. I’ll finish with some positives that this game does better than any other MMORPG on mobile though. 1. Great Character Customization 2. Long Story Line and Levels To Progress Through 3. Many Different Ways to Build Your Character (Love Talents) 4. Open World and Huge Map 5. No Auto-Quest

Developer Response

Hi Stormy,
Thanks for taking the time to post a review. Just wanted to let you know that true raids do happen at the higher levels. These bosses require a team of friends who coordinate, well thought out strategies, different tactics from boss to boss, and drop some of the best gear in the game. These bosses show up around level 40.
Thanks again for your thoughts, Mad Otter :)

Good game overall

It’s an mmo game that emphasizes grinding. If you don’t put in at least 4-6+ hours a day for a month+ don’t pretend you can be a veteran. The cash shop is obscenely high but not necessary. Now onto my personal complaints for fixes. The UI for mobile needs to be reworked it takes way too much time and effort for hold selecting, with it not registering 2 out of every 3 times. There are features available to pc that is not available in mobile even on the same server. Somehow even though there is no PVP drops are distributed all or nothing to a single person if independent players fight a boss together. Finally when doing auction transactions if you open the mail the items and currency should be auto received. I tossed away a ton of gold because I believed that the mail was like a bank statement. Other than that the wiki is non-existent so get ready to ask all questions through world chat.
