Take a three-dimensional journey through 28 of the United States National Parks. This 3D presentation of the beauty and natural wonder of America's greatest treasures was created especially for the new iPad. Photographed in both 2D and 3D, these 800 pictures portray the best that the U.S. Park System has to offer. From Arizona's Grand Canyon to Hawaii's Volcanoes, these colorful images become more eye-catching in real 3D. Red/cyan glasses are required to view them as 3-D though each scene is alternately presented in normal two dimensions as well.
A map, a thumbnail illustration and an introductory description of each park beckons you to make the virtual journey into Yosemite, Yellowstone and dozens of nature's best places on the planet. Leisurely study each picture or play the slideshow at a speed of your choice. Either way, you will better appreciate the national treasure that our parks represent.
A Link is included that will take you to a web site where free or low cost glasses can be obtained. A variety of hundreds of other 3D pictures can be viewed by clicking on any of a number of other links.
What's New in Version 1.0.2
There is a lot of content...
I'm not sure about the other reviewer's comment about content- there are tons of pictures in this app from national parks all around the western half of the US and Hawaii! While there are technical window violations in many of the pictures, at the same time, this is done frequently in anaglyph to reduce ghosting, which is virutally non-existent in these. I'm quite thrilled with the app and having authored a book about 3D myself, that should be considered a bit of an endorsement. If you like 3D, you'll like this app.
Total waste of money.
There is little content and the images are old. Even viewed in 2d they are unflattering images. Information included is scarce. I want a refund!
