The sky's the limit...
Welcome to the beautiful world of Air Mail, where you take to the skies as a fearless letter-carrying, disaster-averting pilot. Simply stunning in its presentation, with incredibly deep gameplay, this is one flight you can't afford to miss.
• MIND-BLOWING VISUALS
One of the most stylish and best looking games on the App Store. Air Mail draws you into it's gorgeous world from take off to landing, with full Retina support for the new iPad.

A fun, well-polished "delivery and exploration" game
I have been anticipating the release of this game for some time now and downloaded it as soon as it became available. It was worth the wait.
The first thing that will grab you are the visuals. I happened to be playing on the new iPad and everything just looks amazing. So far with my time in the game the gameplay consists of three gameplay types: 1) Accuracy-type flying where you have to fly through hoops for time, to set off fireworks, etc. 2) Delivery where you must dust crops, deliver mail, pick up people, etc., and 3) Exploration where you have to find scrolls that are hidden all over various maps (so far I enjoy the exploration-type gameplay the best).
I'm normally a virtual stick-type gamer but find that the tilt controls offer a far-better flying experience and much better control over the plane. One person mentioned poor performance on their new iPad but I haven't experienced the low frame rate they described -- I would suggest rebooting and maybe clearing out some open apps? There are also options to change the visuals.
The developers appear to really have put a lot of effort and pride into this game. I have really enjoyed my time with it so far.
Great pilot's adventure
This game is great and that's exactly what I would play as a boy. However game controls are terrible, I fly real airplane and helicopter, but this game is just really difficult to play with default settings, I'm constantly over-controlling the plane. It helps if you reduce sensitivity of tilting to 50% and in my opinion that's what should be set as default. Throttle shouldn't be locked at 50% power. I should be able to set for example 30% and it should stay at that setting when I remove finger. It is easy for children to learn that low power setting is for slow flight or descent and high power for high speed or climb. They would enjoy game much more, for example flying at slow speed under bridges and between buildings would be easier. Advanced controls are completely wrong and designed for 3 hands. Better would be having joystick on the left and throttle on the right (or right and left if user chooses) and no 3rd control.
But it is still fun to play with basic tilting and throttle and sensitivity set as you need.
Great game but...
...there's something wrong with the controls. I'm sure they will be tweaked by the developer in future updates to be a bit more responsive. This is nothing that should deter you buying this game, however, because this is a top notch game. The "scenery" is beautiful and the water is very real looking when flying above. My only other complaint is that some of the graphics, as far as the terrain and mountains look a little "blocky". I find it a little distracting, actually, but again, no biggee! I still couldn't put it down for a good hour or more.
Somebody wrote to "avoid this game if on the 3rd Generation iPad" due to "bad frame rate". I have a 3rd gen iPad and I do not find that to be true at all. Besides, if it were true, which device do they recommend one to use, if not the most current one? So they're like,"What?! Brand new software? Okie doke, that calls for some older hardware then! Let's put this iPad3 in the trash because I'm sure when we go buy the iPad2 it will play this processor intensive game without a hitch!"
