Ratings and Reviews
Not QB1 & and that’s a bad thing.
YOU HAVE TO CALL THE PLAYS FROM THE TV BROADCAST!!! Calling the plays from the stadium in real time does not work. The tv feed is on an 8 to 15 second delay so you can’t see how the players are lining up on the tv to call your play as the play already happened in the stadium. This also doesn’t allow you to watch the game because while the play is being shown on the the tv you are trying to pick what’s going to happen on the next play as it is so far ahead of the tv broadcast. Also, a quarterback sack or a quarterback scramble is NOT A RUN PLAY!!! A designed quarter back draw is but if I call pass and the QB is looking to throw the ball and is forced to run or gets sacked IS A PASS PLAY!!! Also, there needs to be a correct call multiplier to deter against picking touchdown and first down with no negative effects. How about a “Playmaker” that you can use to double your play points that refreshes every first down? How about Back (behind the line of scrimmage), short (1 to 9 yards), and deep (10 yards +) for pass plays? Finally, you need a player scoreboard to see who is doing the best where points reset every half. So, you keep separate scores for each team for the game, you have a 1st half winner for both teams, 2nd half winner for both teams, a full game winner for both teams, and a total score winner. Better yet just call the QB1 guys and fix this then I’ll give you a 5 star rating but until then this is unplayable.
Good starting point with some hiccups!
I’ll start this out by saying I’m loving the AAF, but the app does have some issues. Other reviews on here are saying how this app has major issues and how terrible it is, but you have to realize their trying something brand new that’s never been done before and it’s been only been out a week. I think this is a great starting point to build on. But again, like I said above, it does have some issues. One being the fantasy aspect. The pick a play isn’t always going to match up with what’s live. For instance I watch on the NFL Network App on my Apple TV. NFL App is about 2 minutes off compared to the AAF app so the fantasy part is always 3 plays ahead from what I’m watching Live. Would work perfectly in my opinion if instead of the animations it’s currently using, it plays the Live Game feed (seeing how you can already watch the game on the app anyways), with the option to Cast it to the TV. I know this is the first iteration of the App, but that change would make it 10x better and smoother for the fantasy lovers like myself. Otherwise, I’m loving it so far and can’t wait for updates to see where this goes!
Love the League not the app
Well there is a lot of work to do to bring up the function of the app to the hype of its promise. On opening night, nothing worked right in my app. The live streaming didn’t work at all except for previously recorded video from pregame. The lag in play on the app in respect to TV was expected but it makes the ‘call the next play feature’ obsolete as it’s not really in ‘real time’ as we see it in broadcast land. Oh btw that feature didn’t work at all. There was no way to call a predictive play thus there was no leveling up for me. Also any regular bells and whistles such as stats and user login features, social media sharing and the like all were nowhere to be found. This app would be amazing if everything promised worked. So far the app has only been good to follow the score (not even with play by play game casting). Oh the football heads are fun to watch as the glide around the old 97’ Madden-style orientation of field. Keep working guys. Eventually with enough feedback and man hours this app will get there. I should have applied for UX designer when the position was open.
