Didn’t want to have to do this

There is no way that I can find to contact the dev directly so I am posting my frustrations here in hope of a dev response. I usually don’t like people who post negative reviews when what they should be doing is reaching out to the dev to address their concern before trolling the app in the App Store, but alas, I am out of options.

I want to make my own recipes, but when I attempt to make one, the app tells me that I must sign in on the profile tab first. When I go to the profile tab, the closest thing I see there related to “sign in” is account linking. The only option there is Twitter, not ideal, but I’d deal with it. However, tapping on the “Log in with Twitter” button does nothing. The button depresses, but no action occurs.

Figured it out. I had to install twitter first. I suggest falling back to launching twitter in safari as a backup—I know webview’s been deprecated, but you can still launch mobile safari.


App used to work perfectly

This used to be the best app on the App Store for Hue Lights. Then they updated it.. I don’t even care about the new $1.99 yearly subscription (and you shouldn’t either) I would even happily pay $12/year for this app if it ran properly!

What I do care about, is the fact that I have to keep my phone screen on during the ENTIRE MOVIE now (killing battery life) I also don’t like the new timer system. The old timer used to show you the exact second that the lights would change into their new color, now the timer just runs straight through the movie (making it more difficult to align with the movie)

In my opinion, the only good thing about the new update, is the search bar, which makes it very easy to browse through all the options they have. With that said, take the app back to the last version (but keep the search bar) PLEASE!!!

Feedback and ideas from our community drives the Sync My Lights development process. We added the Next Event countdown back in our latest release. However we still do not have approval for background operations from Apple and are working on alternates to achieve that again. We still believe that our app is the best way to create scripted lighting sequences for Philips Hue lights. Thanks for your feedback and review.


Was Great. Stopped Working. Can’t Contact Support

I’ve tried every way I can think of to contact someone for support but I’m left with this.. sorry guys. I was trying to contact you privately.

This app was great. I loved it. Totally worth the subscription. But sometime in the past few weeks it stopped working and I can’t fix it.

The app sees my hub, I can select my lights, each light blinks blue when I select it, so there’s communication from the app to the light.. but when I try to play anything, nothing ever happens. The lights stay off. Ive done lots of troubleshooting so.. unless they contact me and help me get this working again... I have to recommend against buying this app. Sorry guys. I tried to contact you everywhere!
