Look more confident and natural on camera by recording your videos without having to glance away at your script or notes!
Let's face it: It's hard to just start talking to a camera and look completely natural. Sometimes it just feels plain weird and awkward.
Have you ever tried to read a script while you record, but it always just looks like you're glancing over and obviously reading a script?
Video Teleprompter solves that problem beautifully! It carefully places your script on the screen closely to the camera, so your eyes are looking directly at the lens while you record.
Imagine being able to easily and comfortably read a script while you record and have it look totally natural. Your videos will look way more professional and engaging instantly!
Can you see how this can make a huge difference to the quality of your videos?
– No more paper scripts.
– No more memorizing what to say.
– No more glancing off-camera at your notes.
– Present your videos just like a professional
– Maintain better eye-contact with the camera
– Import your scripts
– Record videos without the "Recorded with..." watermark
– Record in landscape or portrait orientation
– Record with either the front-facing or rear-facing camera
– Tap to focus and expose
– Lock the autofocus and autoexposure
– Full screen mode
– Adjustable text window
– Control Scrolling & Recording from Apple Watch
– Control Scrolling & Recording from a Bluetooth keyboard
– Create, import, edit, save and share multiple scripts
– Scripts from Teleprompter Premium are automatically available
– Import from Dropbox
– Export and share scripts with others
– Improved scrolling logic to allow you to set even slower scroll speeds.
Video Teleprompter automatically scrolls your scripts on the side of display closest to the front-facing camera on your device. This means that when you read your script, you're looking closer to the camera, rather than off-camera.

good app but missing obvious features
First off, I need to set the speed to a different default. Every day I have to change the default speed from 25 to 17. There are times when I forget to change it and waste time with false starts and deleting those false starts after they are saved to my camera roll. Also, there is a weird thing where sometimes, when tapping on a script, the camera display is very dim. I back out or tap on "AE" a couple times and it fixes it. My lighting is identical every day and it still does this. Why would I want to shoot with such dimness? Finally, the app does not show all that the camera sees. The view during recording is cropped while the finished video is not. This is really surprising as it hinders what is possible with this app. Please at least fix this! Every day I have to frame the shot in the stock camera app and THEN switch to this app. There are a lot of extra steps here. please update! Before someone else comes out with a better app! Thanks!
Finally, someone gets it!
The main problem with Teleprompter apps for smart phones is that the script takes up the entire screen. In this app the script takes up only as much of the screen as you want it to. This way you always maintain eye contact with your audience. Plus the scrolling speed is almost infinitely variable making it very easy to get the speed just right. I love this app. It makes it a hundred times easier to record with a smart phone than any app I’ve ever used, and I’ve used a lot of them. Kudos to this developer for taking the time to understand how people want to use his product.
Does not work as advertised
In spite of having misgivings about the app because of the amount of time it takes to save a video, as experienced on the free version of the app, I went ahead and bought the premium version anyway.
The reason I bought the premium version was to use the remote control feature. When you tap the Bluetooth button on the free or premium version, it informed you that the spacebar will pause the text scrolling. Being able to pause remotely makes using teleprompter software a breeze. But instead of pausing, this software writes the video file every time you hit the spacebar.
If I had known that the pause feature did not work, I would have never bought the app. I’ve gone to the developer's websites, and I see no way to even email for support.
Hi Gregoryfu. I'm glad you were able to contact me shortly after posting this review. As a reminder for all, there's a "Help" button in the app, the "App Support" link here on the App Store, as well as the "Help Center" links on all of my websites where you can quickly contact me.
As we discussed, currently using the space bar on a Bluetooth keyboard operates in the same way as the start/stop button. This will start/stop the text scrolling and if you have recording enabled, it will also start/stop recording.
Our version 3 update will soon offer more flexibility in this regard, and I certainly hope you enjoy using it when it's available shortly.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
