Finally, an easy way to remember to drink more water!

Pee & See is a simple water reminder app. It doesn't need to know when you drink water or how much you drink.

Instead, just tap one button every time you go to the bathroom!

When you haven't peed for 3 hours you'll get a reminder to drink water (except at night).

There are 8 easy ways to log pees with Pee & See:
• Open the app and tap the big "Log Pee" button
• Log a pee from the Widget, without opening the app
• Tap one of the actions on a notification
• Log from the app icon on devices that support 3D Touch
• Install the Apple Watch app and Complication so you're always just two taps away from logging a pee
• Manually enter the date and time for pees you forgot to log
• Tell Siri to log a pee
• Slide your finger across the Log Pee button in the app (or hold your finger on it briefly then slide) to log a pee at a specific time in the past hour

Adjust the Quiet Hours setting in the app to avoid notifications while you're asleep.

See where you stack up against other urinators on the Leaderboard. Don't break that streak!

You can also use it as a simple pee tracker, and export your data as a CSV.

Decide when you want your first reminder, anywhere from 1–5 hours after you last peed.

—— The Story Behind Pee & See ——

I was sick of getting headaches.

It seemed like every few weeks I’d lose productivity for half a day or more. My head hurt so badly I didn’t feel like I could do anything.

As I laid in bed with a headache, I thought they might be happening when I hadn’t been drinking much water during the days before.

What would be the easiest way to remind myself to drink water, when I need it most?

I knew there were apps to remind me to drink water based on the amount I drank, but that seemed silly. How would I track the exact amount of water I drank? Would I need a special cup with lines on it? Would I only refill when it was completely empty? And what if I was working out in the heat? Wouldn’t I need more water than if I were just sitting around in air conditioning all day?

I hypothesized that if I kept track of when I peed I might be able to use that data to give myself reminders to drink water when I hadn’t peed in a long time.

I built a simple website with basic pee logging features that I started using myself. After experimenting with the concept on my own for a year, I saw some potential.

Even though I had little experience making iPhone apps and had to learn as I went, I built a prototype of this app, and gave it to a few friends to test. The people who were really committed to drinking more water loved it. So, I released the app to the world in April 2016. I’ve been improving it little by little since then as I learn more about what users want and learn more about how to make good iPhone and Apple Watch apps.

My mission with this app is to have a positive impact on the world by helping people stay hydrated. I’m not one of the best iPhone developers out there, but I’m committed to improving the experience this app offers as I improve my skills.

If you have BPH this is the app for you


Having an enlarged prostate can be rather humbling. It's a constant run to the bathroom. Sometimes every 20-30 minutes. I used to track those trips in a note app called drafts, but all I had to review at the end of the day (and with my urologist) was the number of trips and they were usually wrong. Who wants to record bathroom trips during the middle of the night in a note app? And then I found this app. Wow. Just wow.

Having the ability to see times between pee stops is awesome. Just awesome. If the average is close, like under an hour, I know I ate something I should not have. Prostate problems are 100% related to food. If my average is 1.5-2 hrs, I know I'm on the right path.

This app is a lifesaving. And it's wicked easy to log a lee from outside of the app. I do wish you could log a pee you missed from outside of the app. Sure you can do just that if the 3 hour alert pops but not from the notification screen.

Also I dearly wish graphs existed on this app. It would be way cool to see where I was every day to try and pinpoint why I was so good on one day and so bad on another.

I just paid for 6 months as my way of saying thanks to the developer. Though I would love to see a few changes, it's still a 5 star app.

Note to the Developer: Thank you a million times over. You might want to market this app with guys with BPH so you can make more money. Love what you did with this app.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your story. I've spent many hours on this app, but it's a side project that I hoped would help some people stay more hydrated. Seeing reviews like this make me realize there's more potential for this app to have a real positive impact on peoples lives, and that encourages me to spend more time developing it. Thank you for the suggestions. I really like your idea of adding missed pees from the widget. I've now made it easier to get to quick -30 minute and -60 minute options when you forgot to log a pee, and I'll consider adding that to the widget too. Graphs are definitely something I'm planning to include in the future! I'm pretty new to iOS development, but again, hearing your story really motivates me to spend more time improving Pee & See.

UPDATE: The developer is on top of trying to restore my data. He is so dedicated to making this a great app so if you have any problems just let him know and I’m sure he’ll do whatever he can to fix it. This app has been exactly what I needed in a urination tracking app and the loss of data was unfortunate, but I’m confident the developer is doing everything he can to restore it and to keep it from happening to anyone else. I’ll definitely continue to use this app.

The app is fully functional and i like all of the features it has, today all of my logs were deleted after the update. The only logs that were kept were today’s which is unfortunate because I had over 100 pees logged and a 22 day streak. But if you don’t care about that kind of stuff then the app will do exactly what you need it to do which is ultimately remind you to drink water when you haven’t peed in a certain amount of time.

Hi, I'm really sorry about your lost data! I take data loss very seriously with this app because I know people count on it. This update changed a lot of things in the background, and I tested a lot before releasing it, but it turns out there have been some issues. I'm working to resolve them going forward. The good news is your data is probably still in iCloud somewhere, and I hope to restore it in a future update. Please continue using the app normally, and I will keep working on an update that will attempt to restore your data. I always forget to go pee, and after a couple days of 12+ hours without going to the bathroom, I end up in the ER with so much abdominal pain I had to get Morfin. This app is awesome not only because it tells you how long have you had between pees, but also whats your average and notifies you when you have had a long time without going. My favorite part is that it works for Apple Watch. I cant have my phone on me at work so this is just perfect for me!! THANKS SOOO MUCH!! ♥️
